Uday Trivedi is a cardiothoracic surgeon with more than 30 years of experience in his field. He has expertise in many aspects of cardiac surgery, however, he has a particular focus on coronary artery bypass surgery, mitral valve surgery, TAVI and beating heart coronary artery bypass surgery. Mr Trivedi is currently a consultant cardiac surgeon at Brighton NHS Foundation Trust and is the clinical lead for the cardiac surgery department at the Sussex Cardiothoracic Surgery Group in Hove.
Originally qualifying from St Bartholomew's Hospital, University of
London, Mr Trivedi went on to train across London teaching hospitals, including St Mary's, St Thomas's and King's College Hospital. He is very experienced across the board of cardiac surgery and is able to perform cardiothoracic procedures both openly and minimally-invasively, using the latest techniques in keyhole cardiac surgery.
Mr Trivedi is a very busy practitioner, however, he is also kept busy with his involvement, both past and present, with the Royal Society of Medicine and the Royal College of Surgeons of England. For the latter, he is currently the regional specialty advisor.
